Have you ever felt like,
A prisoner of war
In your own life?
How is this so?
I thought POWS were prisoners
In worn-torn countries.
How can this be so,
In ones own home?
It's felt like a decade's long battle
Of trying to reclaim myself, and my life again.
In the midst of men who feel the need to feed off of women--
Because they feel empty inside?
I do not believe in sacrifice.
If you do, then one only has the right to sacrifice oneself.
It is your life, and you have no right to anyone else's.
So let them go, let us go.
