Purpose (part 1)

I've started to notice 

That everyone's purpose 

Doesn't have to be the same. 

Some people just want family 

And seek connection with others

That is a purpose. 

Who am I to say it is not?

But if my purpose does not align

Then how can I belong?

At least amongst those who live

Differently than I do. 

I am an artist. 

And as for the artists,

Who choose to prioritize art

Just have a different purpose. 

I am not here to seek your validation,

I am just here to Create.

Moment of expression

This something

That has some sort of

Value.

Monetize this

Moment of catharsis 

Where trapped pain

Can somehow be

Released.

Monetize 

This moment

Of exposure

Where everything in our world

Needs a price. 

Monetize this need

For loving.

But love can't be monetized 

Can it?

The price of love

Could never be enough

As the love that has to be given 

Because it must.
